Insanely fast and rock solid — the U7-Pro is Ubiquiti’s best access point yetWhat I LikedSuper easy setup — literally plug in PoE, open UniFi app, done.Speeds are crazy fast (even on WiFi 6 devices).Signal stays strong across my whole house and yard.Looks clean — no ugly antennas sticking out.Plays perfectly with my Dream Machine and UniFi Protect setup.Controller app is still one of the best out there for network monitoring. What Could Be BetterYou *need* a UniFi controller or Dream Machine — not a standalone router.WiFi 7 features are still ahead of most current devices, so you won’t max it out yet.Slightly pricier than the U6-Pro, but not by much.Mounting plate feels a bit basic for the price (minor gripe).Setup & ExperienceSetup took maybe 10 minutes tops. Plug it in, adopt it in the UniFi app, update firmware, and it’s live. The controller walked me through channel selection and optimization — couldn’t be easier.Build quality is excellent as always — solid, sleek, and blends into the ceiling nicely.PerformanceThe U7-Pro absolutely flies. My WiFi 6 laptop was pulling **1.4 Gbps** a few feet away.Still hitting **700 Mbps** through a couple of walls.Latency under **5 ms** across the network.Roaming between APs is seamless — you don’t even notice it.Even though I don’t have WiFi 7 devices yet, the overall throughput and stability are clearly better than my old U6-Pro.FeaturesThe UniFi controller keeps getting better — full visibility of devices, signal strength, and client history. You can set up VLANs, guest networks, and bandwidth limits with a few clicks.Bonus: it automatically picks the best channels to reduce interference.ValueAt around $200, it’s not cheap, but you’re paying for **enterprise-level gear** that just works. If you’re already in the UniFi ecosystem, it’s a no-brainer upgrade. For normal users it’s probably overkill, but if you’re into networking or run a small business, this thing is a beast.Bottom LineThe **U7-Pro** is fast, quiet, reliable, and future-proof.Not a toy, but definitely worth it if you care about your network running perfectly.

I upgraded to these from a pair of UAP-AC-PROs.The construction has improved dramatically with the base of the unit now being metal instead of plastic., the inclusion of a fingerprint shield for istallation is a nice touch, the metal mount makes the AP not as snug to the ceiling while providing a secure fit, allowing the cable to not kink as much. The kit also includes an mounting key (flat L shaped piece of metal) which is a godsend of a tool i wish they would have included years ago. the light is nice and bright and it has that same clean look that is all too familiar but overall improved. If you know what you’re doing, this would be an epic upgrade for your home. Having more than one in your home will enable better optimization too as it will utilize both APs to find the best channels. once set up properly and optimized this improved my stability substantially and it increased my wifi speeds by a factor of 9x. I was even getting a solid connection at the neighbors house!Paired with the server software These also offer really nice security functions such as packet capture and better insight to device troubles, and advanced rogue AP protection and even a free, very functional guest portal for guests that allows use of vouchers instead of handing out passwords. Finally, this equipment did not require a huge upgrade of core equipment, as my existing switches were able to easily power these switches over poe+ with poe real estate to spare. Just keep in mind if you’re buying these for the first time they don’t come with the injectors, and they need poe+ so the older poe injectors won’t work on them. Take care in acquiring these. The cons:These do run a bit warm, even with an internal fan. I recommend using the metal mount over existing plastic as it improves air flow and keeps that heat off the sheet rock and helps dissipate it.The fan… these units are not serviceable without voiding warranty. If the fan starts buzzing or goes out, better hope warranty covers it! A serviceable fan would be nice in the future. The finish: i love the look of these, but they will attract grease and dirt if mounted in the kitchen and the finish is similar.to the old ones and I found them hard to clean. The price: the price on the APs ubiquiti offershas spiked substantially, but keep in mind their quality has also spiked too.Overall I love these products and they are a powerful upgrade if you can fork out the price. Been using ubiquiti for many years now and as long as you configure and install these properly you really can’t go wrong with them!

Awesome signal power and the 6ghz radio is awesome for devices that support it (newer iPhones). Longer range than the Lites.Easy adoption like all UniFi APs.

I needed a stable and wifi coverage that works everywhere consistently with good bandwidth and compatibility to work on multiple bands. It is simple to setup and ease of use. It can customized to regular users to guests/visitors for security. Awesome and must have if you want stable wifi with great coverage.

his AP easily covers my whole home with strong, reliable WiFi. The range is excellent, and setup through Ubiquiti’s software was smooth and intuitive. PoE makes installation super convenient, and the WiFi 7 speeds are blazing fast — a noticeable upgrade. Exactly what I was hoping for in a high-end access point.

I’ve been using Ubiquiti products for several years now. I run a pretty complex home network (USG, 8 WAPS around the property, multiple POE switches including the 48 port switch). I am also a VR enthusiast so I wanted to improve streaming to my Quest 3 from my PC for SteamVR gaming. The extra *umph* from Wifi 6 really made the difference. I swapped out my older Unifi WAP in my gaming room for this one and it works great. Signal strength and excellent as is latency. I’m only giving four stars because I’ve had other Unifi WAPs fail right outside of warranty and the company was less than sympathetic. So technically 5-stars for this product minus 1-star due to who makes it.

Nice AP with good coverage
Easy to mount and deploy. Provides excellent bandwidth. Great improvement over the flex hd it replaced.

Great Software, Easy Setup, Better Than Expected Coverage
Fantastic product. Great app, easy setup, way better wifi coverage than I expected. I could almost run a full 6000 sq ft 4-level home off of it, but ended up adding a 2nd AP. And I’m getting 1.2Gbps on 6Ghz right next to it.
