Definitely a priority purchase
A good marine radio is a necessity for ocean or freshwater. This radio was so simple to install, definitely get the mounting hardware and cover. The MMSI number is easy to get and enter into radio.

No flush mount adapter
I’m replacing my old standard horizon vhf radio and I hope the old flush mount adapter will work because they didn’t give new ones with the radio

Perfect fit for my boat

Great radio
This is a great radio and a must for any serious boater.I use this on my center console bay boat and have piece of mind that I can contact the coast guard or another boater in an emergency situation.Audio and transmit are both clear. I am also a ham radio operator and didn’t realize until I started to research that standard horizon is manufactured by yaesu who makes amazing ham radios.I don’t think you can go wrong with this. I still need to learn how to use the waypoint feature properly cause I’m prone to getting lost.
